Got some really good stuff today at Goodwill! That pink sweater caught my eye. The little pocket & collar look so cute! I wanted to find some crewneck sweaters, but this is so much better! haha The F21 jacket was such a steal too---$6.99! How often do you find cute jackets that fit perfectly at thrift stores?! Of course, I had to add to my high-waist shorts collection for spring & summer. I have to promise myself to stop buying shorts. I have no more room in my closet/drawers!

 These are just some of the things I purchased recently. I've been thrifting and shopping A LOT lately, but I don't feel too bad cause I use coupons and only shop clearance/sales! haha Yep, rarely pay retail price!

The collared blouse is from thrifting at Goodwill. It has a lovely lace design on the collar and along the button area. The shorts are from Forever21 and the wedge booties are from PLNDR (had a coupon code from friend invites and purchased these pair of awesome wedges for only $23 shipped). The collar necklace is from Ebay.

Awesome finds at Goodwill today! I've been finding some great pieces from thrifting lately. Found a yellow polka dotted sleeveless shirt by Esprit, a lacy Charlotte Russe skirt, and suede pumps by Mossimo that look like they've never been worn!

New Glasses. Free?!

I came across a great deal for prescription eyeglasses from Coastal.com and just had to get a pair! I started using contacts 2 months ago, but some days I just feel too lazy to put them on and my old pair of glasses snapped in half (although I was able to super glue it back together for use at home! lol)

I purchased a pair of Derek Cardigan glasses in Birch ($98) and used code FIRSTPAIRFREE. The glasses were free and I only had to pay for shipping. I chose basic lenses without any special coatings, so my order totaled $9.90 shipped! Of course, you have to pay extra if you choose progressive lenses, transition, coatings, etc...  I have never ordered glasses online and I usually like to try them on, but Coastal.com has free returns, which is a huge plus! It's definitely one of the best deals I've come across lately.

I ordered my glasses on May 15th and it arrived on May 18th. 

 

The glasses fit great and they feel great. I am so in love with them!

It came with a case, eyeglass tool, and cleaning cloth.

Hello, lovely readers! It's been so long since my last updates. I still can't believe the amount of people that still check out this blog. You guys are amazing :) I've recently started doing nail art again (aka stopped being lazy! :p) and I've been posting them on instagram. So, I've decided to bring this blog back from the dead. I will be posting nail art, outfit of the days, and anything else I find awesome from now on!

I am BACK!

Hello my lovely readers! It has been 7 months since I've update this blog and I feel really horrible about it. Since my last update, I kept putting off doing nail art and blogging everyday until I just gave up completely. I've been so busy with school this year and my stress from my classes these past 2 semesters really discouraged me from doing any nail art. But, I've made it to the end of the school year and I have only 2 final exams to take in the last 2 weeks of school! I am really excited to get back on track and come up with new things to show you all & post some new tutorials, reviews, pictures, etc. I thank all of you who have kept interest in my little 'ole blog :)

So, for now, something simple :)

[NOTD] Strawberry Sundae with Cherries on Top

Hello all! Summer's officially come to an end today where I live, but that doesn't mean I'm giving up my summery dessert themed nails :)! I first wanted to do a plain mani with Color Club Yachty, Yachty, Yadda, but this wonderful pink nail polish reminded me of my favorite ice cream flavor---Strawberry! I added a drip design of chocolate syrup (Revlon Hot for Chocolate) with Sprinkles (ULTA After Party). Of course, i didn't forget the cherry! What's an ice cream sundae without the cherry on top? haha

[OOTD] Birthday OOTD

Hey everyone! Notice anything new? I finally changed the layout! I wanted something new and less cluttered and i found this wonderful background at Shabby Blogs. I made a new header too! How does it look?

On Saturday, my friends and I went out to eat at PF Chang's China Bistro. It was my first time going there, so I was really excited! The food was really delicious, but the prices, not so much o_o Our waiter was super nice though! He gave me free strawberry cheesecake since my friends told me it was my birthday.

My outfit ~fell in love with the dress at first sight! My birthstone is Sapphire Blue, so it was perfect!

Ladybug attraction + Pre-Birthday post

Hey everyone! I come with sad news...my digital camera of 3 years died on me today! I probably won't be posting new nail art in a while, but I do have quite a back log of older swatches/nail art I've been too lazy to post! haha

A few weeks ago, my boyfriend & I were at a birthday party at the park & a ladybug flew next to where we were sitting! Guess where it landed? Near myhand! haha Of course, my squeamish side kicked in for a little bit, but then my boyfriend brought up the idea of doing a little photo shoot with the ladybug & my mani :)

My birthday is this weekend, September 4th! I'm turning the big 2-0, so I will be a teenager no more~It's kind of a scary thought! lol I'm so excited to celebrate it with my friends ^^ Everyone's been so busy with school and work, so this is a great opportunity to dress up, catch up, & have a great time.

My boyfriend surprised me with a huge gift wrapped box today after school. I couldn't wait 3 more days to open it up xD I looked inside and saw the most adorable, squishiest, and biggest stuffed panda bear I've ever seen! It's a Squishable Panda & I've been eyeing it for months. I named him Mr. Krinkles! hahah

[NOTD] Ladybug Sparkles

Hey everyone! It's been a month since I last updated & the only reasons I have are...laziness & no motivation! haha I broke like 3 nails at work and was too lazy to design or paint them in the past month, but here I am! I'm back :D Sorry for the month hiatus. I will try to update as much as I can! I've quit my job & today was my first day back to school. It's my 2nd year in community college *hopefully my last year* I'm planning to transfer out after I finish my prerequisites and take a nursing program at Sentara School of Health Professions. I'm pretty excited :D

So, I've been trying to look for inspiration & found it in BoA, a singer from Korea (popular in Japan as well). She tweeted a picture of her nails & I thought it looked gorgeous (CLICK)~I love the red & black combo.

My design turned out different than BoA's, but I love it!:) The outcome reminded me of ladybugs!

I topped the red area with the flakie topcoat, Colorama Sonic Sunset.

[Review] GEO Honey Wing Lenses

I haven't done a Circle lens reviews in a while! Unfortunately, my GEO Fresh Color Gray lenses (my favorite) ripped! I recently bought GEO Honey Wings, which I've had my eyes on (heh :P) for a while. I was looking for lenses which had a more natural look, and these are it!

Review:

color/design: I LOVE the color & design. At first I was a little disappointed that the color wasn't lighter on my eyes, but it's great for a more natural look! My coworkers didn't notice I wore these lenses until I told them. 9/10
comfort: I wore these for 7 hours at work today. I felt no discomfort at all, apart from when first putting them on. I just cleaned it a little bit more with solution & tadaaa! I forgot I was even wearing lenses today! haha 9/10
enlargement: These lenses don't have that great of an enlargement. It's only 14mm in diameter. There are other lenses out there that will enlarge better than this one. 6/10

All in all, I think Honey Wing is great for people who want to try out circle lenses for the first time. It's comfortable, has a natural look, and that wing/halo effect adds a fresh appearance to your eyes. I would definitely try out the other lenses in the GEO Wing series! I'm actually thinking about getting lenses that are larger than 14mm, but I'm a little scared it would look weird on me...

I also got an asymmetrical bob today! My hair was getting poofy and shapeless~haha

[NOTD] More Green & A Heads Up!

I think i have too many Green polishes! Green is my favorite color, so It catches my attention most of the time I'm shopping! haha I really need to stop xD

I was at Target a few days ago and spotted this Nicole by OPI nail polish in the clearance section (more like a small clearance basket) with my eagle eyes!
This is a Nicole by OPI nail polish called "Peas and Q's" I have never seen this shade before, plus it was in the clearance section AAAND it looked Minty Green, so you know I grabbed this quickly! haha .It was only $4.xx and I had a $1.00 off coupon for Nicole by OPI nail polish, so it dropped down to $3.xx. Woohoo!

Peas and Q's is a gorgeous mint creme nail polish. I used 3 coats. I'd say CG Re-freshmint is still my favorite Mint polish, but this one comes really close.


I used my leftover Nail Art stickers & Sinful Colors "Call You Later" to jazz it up a bit.

As some of you know, I work at ROSS, a discount store. I usually get first dibs on the items when it comes into the store! haha For the past few weeks, my store has been getting some great Borghese products. If you love Borghese products or just want to try them out, but don't wanna pay retail price, check out your local ROSS store. I was so excited when I saw these! Normally they would cost $7~$15, but got these babies for under $5! These products go fast though!

[Swatch] Ohh the Flakie Goodness!

I've looked in many Rite Aids, Walgreens , Targets, Walmarts, etc.. in my area but i have not found the coveted Sally Hansen Hidden Treasure nail polish in any one of them! It really does live up to its name (especially the Hidden part LOL)! Because of this, I decided to do some research to find some other flakie nail polish out there that was easier to acquire. I found some swatches online of Maybelline Colorama Sonic Sunset & Shimmer Girl ....It was love at first sight! (I saw them at Steph's Closet)! I was on another mission! Unfortunately, I learned that these were discontinued & can't be found in stores anymore. I did some more searching and found a seller on Amazon carrying them! Of course, I jumped right to it and bought both plus another top coat from Maybelline Colorama, called Frosty pink (will swatch in a diff post!)

These are my very first flakies~I want more! Flakies are lovelovelove! The way the light hits it & the attention it gets because of the unique look (especially from the customers at my job who stop me to ask if they could look at my nails xD) ...I can't get enough! I'm not going to give up my search for Hidden Treasure in stores though~ I'm also thinking about buying Nfu Oh & Nubar flakie polish in the near future.

I used OPI Ogre the Top Blue as the base.
Index finger has Shimmer Girl, 2 coats. Middle Finger has Sonic Sunset, 2 coats.

[NOTD] Funky Zebra Stripes

I also have 5 Below store near my job & decided to stop by. I found some really cute colors from Funky Fingers nail polish (They are made by Forsythe cosmetic company. Same makers as Color Club) & Nail Art Club polishes by Color Club. The best thing about them is the price! I got 3 for $5. I'll post some swatches in a later post!

In this mani, I used Funky Fingers Southampton Seafoam as the base (OPI Absolutely Alice on the ring finger) & used Art Club polishes for the details. I topped the whole look with glitter polish, Color Club Si Vous Please. I loved how this mani turned out, especially when the light reflects the glitter on Absolutely Alice & Si Vous Please.

I just noticed a lot of Color Club love in this post. haha Now I'm tempted to buy that Color Club Debutante Collection I saw at ROSS. hmmm
